INVITATION TO KENNETH OJO MEMORIAL SYMPOSIUM ON HEALTH FINANCING IN NIGERIA ORGANIZED BY CENTRE FOR HEALTH ECONOMICS AND DEVELOPMENT IN COLLABORATION WITH FEDERAL MINISTRY OF HEALTH ON JULY 27, 2017

We write to cordially invite you to the maiden edition of Kenneth OjoAnnual Memorial Symposium organized by the Centre for Health Economics and Development(CHECOD) in collaboration with Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH). The event, scheduled for July 27, 2017, is in honor of the late founder and chairman of CHECOD, Dr Kenneth Olayinka Ojo, who passed away in March 2016.

Dr. Kenneth Ojo was Technical Assistant to former Minister of Health, Professor Eyitayo Lambo on several health reform initiatives. He continued to provide technical support to the FMoH on national health accounts and health financing policy under the platform of CHECOD which he founded in 2010. Until his death, he was an active member of the Health Equity Investment and Financing Technical Working Group of the FMoH.

The symposium will examine the topic “Financing Universal Health Coverage in Highly Informal Setting: The Economic Imperatives of State Health Insurance Schemes and Primary Health Care Revitalization in Nigeria,”and will hold as follows:
